Kinraddie High
Attendance, attainment and equity — a whole school in one calm dashboard.
- ~180 pupils
- Role-based access
- Synthetic data
The idea
Scottish secondary schools already hold the data — attendance, tracking, SIMD, free-meal entitlement. It just lives in spreadsheets and end-of-term reports nobody has time to read.
Kinraddie High is a working sketch of the alternative: a calm, role-aware layer over a routine SEEMiS extract that puts the whole picture in front of the right person.
A demonstration build
This one is a self-contained demo, not a client site. Every pupil, mark, attendance figure and flag is randomly generated and fictional — no real records anywhere, so anyone can click through it safely.
Highlights
Pupil profiles
A searchable roll with attendance, attainment vs target, effort, behaviour and homework on one page.
Cohort RAG view
Year group, house and SIMD as red/amber/green tiles, each drilling through to the pupils behind the number.
Equity analysis
Poverty-related attainment gaps made visible — FSM and SIMD comparisons you could take to a faculty meeting.
Attendance trends
A whole-school weekly trend line and an automatic persistent-absence watch list.
Role-based access
Class teacher, guidance and SLT each see what fits their role. Switch role and the data and controls change.
Simulated SEEMiS import
Drag in an extract and the dashboards populate. No new data entry, no real file ever read.
See it for yourself
The demo runs in its own shell, on synthetic data, with nothing to install and no sign-up. Sign in, run a simulated SEEMiS import, then switch between staff roles to watch the data and controls change.
